Cormetech was formed in 1989 as a joint equity company of proven industrial leaders: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Corning Incorporated, and Mitsubishi Petrochemical (MPC). Corning Incorporated is acknowledged worldwide as a leader in glass and ceramic processing technologies and in the automotive emission control field.
