Corporate Sign Systems' long history began in 1959 on The Alameda in Santa Clara when the Silicon Valley was mostly orchards.With his natural talent in oil and water color painting, Ed Moran started out by painting Christmas scenes for local grocery stores. It wasn't before long that he opened up his first shop and his company was designing, engineering and producing large building signs, monument signs and displays for high profile corporations like IBM, Hewlett Packard and Fairchild Semiconductor.As one of the first commercial sign shops in the Silicon Valley, Ed Moran became well known for his quality, workmanship and timely service. He developed strong relationships with leading commercial real estate developers of the time including the likes of Trammel Crow Company, Spieker Properties (now Equity Office Properties) and Lincoln Property (now Legacy Partners).
