Description

This lion was a welcome surprise (the last one was back in December, so it's been a while). We thought this would be a good location for all animals, since it is a narrow enough part of the canyon that anything traveling through would have to cross at this particular spot. I was expecting to see a groggy, hungry bear, moving around with the first warm days of spring. Instead, this decidedly non-groggy, but probably still hungry, mountain lion: Sadly, some people who couldn't just leave something alone bashed a rock into my camera. Didn't try to steal it, just wanted to ruin it. Nice. I'm going to see if it can be repaired, but it doesn't look good.
