counterclaim is an Oregon company which provides the legal community with judicial information management and electronic filing solutions. By vertically integrating the legal process from end to end, counterclaim provides users with a seamless way to transact business with and within the court. Since incorporating on January 11, 2000, counterclaim has grown from its two founders to a staff of over 15 people. With the help of the Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship and its noted incubation program, counterclaim has drawn talent, knowledge, and resources from the University of Oregon. counterclaim has also relied on its diverse board of directors including the Chief Information Officer of Stanford Law School for guidance and leadership. counterclaim participates in the development of industry standards, works closely with other vendors and is positioned to take advantage of the rapidly growing electronic filing market.
