Owners Tricia and Ed Burkholder After pursuing a career as a buyer for Federated Department Stores, Tricia decided to take that knowledge and experience and make her dream of owning a bridal store come true. In 1986, The Country Bride was born and she started to make dreams come true for brides. Weddings have always been her passion and she can’t think of anything better to do everyday. She gets to work with the most luxurious fabrics and styles that anyone will ever wear in their lifetime. Our feeling at The Country Bride and Gent is to offer you the best styling and selection at the very best price. We feel very strongly that you don’t need to spend a million dollars to look great. In 1990, she found it necessary to expand the Bensalem store. Also Tricia and Ed were married that year, so it was just natural that Ed would join the business and The Country Gent was added. They always felt that the Gwynedd area would be a perfect spot for another location, so when the Sumneytown Pike address became available in 1996, they knew it would be just great. We have a wonderful team of consultants that have years of expertise in helping brides and grooms create their special day.
