Jessica Peterman has many years of experience serving seniors in all levels of care. A native of Birmingham, Alabama and UAB alum, she has a background in Administration and is the Admissions Director at Country Cottage in Hoover. Before joining the team in 2012, Jessica worked at Brookdale Senior Living for over 5 years. What she enjoys most about the Cottage is the opportunity to work with seniors and their families, helping with the transition into their new Cottage home. Jessica has three grown children, all boys, and enjoys travel ministering in Liturgical Praise Dance in her spare time.

For over 30 years, Peg Thompson and Wade White have dedicated their time and energy to establishing the Cottage Way in their senior communities - an intense focus on protecting residents’ independence, dignity, and choice. Son Cliff White shares his parents’ passion and as the second generation in a family owned business, has resumed management of the corporate office.

When she’s at home, she enjoys sports and outdoor activities. Most of her time is spent enjoying her family. She has been married for over 20 years, and she and her husband, James, take care of their twins, Alex and Alicia.

New to the Hartselle Cottage team is Amanda Christopher, Resident Services Director. Amanda has been in healthcare for over 13 years and is a certified nursing assistant. Before joining the Cottage team, she worked at River City Center as the Concierge. As a child, Amanda moved around a lot, and finally found a home in Cullman, Alabama.

Married to husband Gary for over 12 years, Rita has two grown sons. She hopes to have grandchildren soon.
