Description

Our dances are open to the public and you don't even need to bring a partner. We welcome people of all ages and to prove it, your first visit on Tuesday evenings is free! Country Lovers Western Dance Club is a non-profit organization founded in 1990 by a small group of people who loved to dance. Our membership has grown and shrunk over the years (relative to the popularity of country music). However, our enthusiasm has never waned. Our vision and goal is to promote country music and dancing in Ventura County for people of all ages. We meet every Tuesday night from 6:30 to 9PM at the Moose Lodge in Ventura where we offer line & couples dance lessons. Monthly we sponsor a dance at the House of Dance in Ventura and annually we participate in the Fair Parade and St. Patrick's Day Parade. We also perform for various senior parks, local schools and at various other city & county events. Every year we help with collecting Toys for Tots and have raised and donated money for charitable organizations like the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation, the Red Cross, Relay for Life, the Children's Auxiliary Foundation, Project Understanding and Food Share. We are proud to say that we also donated money to help purchase American flags for the City of Ventura. Yep, and we still have time to dance!
