Cowper Law is investigating claims regarding whether Zofran may have caused birth defects when used off-label to treat women in their first trimester of pregnancy.Zofran blocks the actions of chemicals in the body that can trigger nausea and vomiting. Zofran is FDA approved and indicated to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused by surgery or by medicine to treat cancer. Zofran is not FDA approved for preventing nausea or vomiting that is caused by factors other than cancer treatment or surgery like, for example, in pregnant women.
