The CPPGA was originally founded for the purpose of unity and protection in light of the State of Colorado’s Pet Animal Care Facility Act (PACFA) , The Colorado Professional Pet Groomer’s Assocation has since grown and expanded its efforts from this initial goal. A diverse group of professional pet groomers who live and work throughout Colorado and surrounding states.CPPGA is dedicated to keeping groomers informed about this ever changing industry. Today, the assocation reaches out to the groomers of Colorado offering open events to members and non-members alike. These meetings cover a variety of topics, from legal issues to creative grooming techniques. Those in attendance learn about the assocation, the State’s upcoming legislative efforts, and the latest industry news, along social and networking possibilities. The CPPGA board members send out a monthly email FYI Blast with all the projects we have in the works, publishes a bimonthly newsletter, the Groomer’s Newsline , and, along with the members, hosts continuing education seminars and workshops. The Assoc. is dedicated the ongoing progressionof professionalism in the industry.
