Cquin Angus

Description

Cquin Angus Farm was founded in 1970. In 1973, the operation started on Angus Herd Improvement Records (AHIR). With the technical improvement of AHIR via expected progeny differences (EPD's), the program has prospered into one of the longstanding Angus herds on association records. The program centers on management closely related to most commercial operations. Presently, Cquin has Angus bulls working in small, medium, and the largest commercial herds in the state of Louisiana. Cquin emphasizes balanced trait selection focusing on structure, muscle, carcass, milk, fertility, and subtropical climate adaptability. Growth traits are closely monitored in our program. Our bulls are sold privately and occasionally in sales. Throughout the farm history, bulls produced in the program have been the high-selling individuals in numerous public sales.
