Craig & Preston Insurance Agency, Inc. was founded by Mike Craig and Steve Preston. Both principals started in the agency business as employees of the Travelers Insurance Company (Steve in 1975, and Mike in 1976) under a three-year Agent Development Program. Upon graduation, each had his own agency. However, these were combined in a partnership in 1981. Craig & Preston Insurance Agency was operated that way until February, 1989, when the business was incorporated. Craig & Preston Insurance Agency, Inc. is an independent multi-line agency offering general insurance products and services to the Charlotte and surrounding area. Specifically, products offered are all aspects of personal lines, commercial lines, life, health (individual and group), retirement, business and estate planning.
