Crawford Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc. was started on April 1, 1999. After a successful career of 18 years in commercial real estate, Mr. Crawford began his own firm to develop, lease, and sell office, flex and industrial properties located in the Roanoke and New River Valleys.Just prior to starting Crawford Commercial Real Estate, Mr. Crawford worked with Liberty Property Trust and Lingerfelt Development Co. to fully develop, lease and manage Valleypointe Corporate Center, a mixed-use park of 65 acres consisting of 148,00 square feet. In addition, he developed the international logistics center for Elizabeth Arden of 265,000 square feet; the office headquarters facility for CMMA of 14,000 square feet; the research and development center of 20,000 square feet for Magnetic Bearings ; and the national headquarters and manufacturing facility of 150,00 square feet for Optical Cable Corp. Without exception, these projects represent the highest quality developments of their kind in Western Virginia.Since selling Valleypointe in July of 2000, Mr. Crawford has started to develop another mixed-use park, The Oaks. The first building of 7,000 square feet is 90% complete and serves as the prototype for the remaining 11 acres of the park. Similar to Valleypointe, it is a planned corporate environment, but will have more of a campus layout.
