While Skip Crayton is still President of the company, Frank Crayton, as Vice President, controls the day-to-day running of the business. Frank started working with the company after graduating from Appalachian State University in 1975. Frank has over thirty years experience in the real estate, development and construction business. An Eagle Scout, Frank has served as Scoutmaster of Troop 13 and in 2006 was honored with the coveted Silver Beaver Award. He is a charter member of the NC Home Owners Warranty Board of Directors and is a Past President of the New Bern Home Builders Association. Frank is also a past board member of the NC Builders Institute from which he has earned Accredited Builder (AB) and Accredited Master Builder (AMB) status.

Crayton & Company is a corporation active in both residential and commercial construction. The corporation has an unlimited general contractor's license in the state of North Carolina. Paul W. Crayton, Sr. founded Crayton & Company and it has continued as a construction and land development firm for over 55 years. His two sons, Paul “Skip” Crayton Jr. and W. Frank Crayton, now own the company. Raised in the New Bern area, both men have a special commitment to its well-being and they realize that thoughtful planning, together with quality construction, is necessary for responsible growth.
