At Creative Curbing, we help families with pets and small children who need an alternative to “steel edging” which can be unsafe and maintenance intensive. Often sharp edges become exposed and rusted, creating a dangerous environment. Many of our clients have told us they had been looking for an alternative to steel edging and found concrete edging to be the perfect answer. Local veterinarians have reported that lacerations on the pads and between a dog’s toes from steel edging are common. This can be serious if the owner is not home, because the pet could bleed for hours before getting medical attention.
