CREST Publications was founded in 2002 by Edward and Sarah Bolme, who wanted board books that would teach their young children specific stories about Jesus. They were surprised that they couldn't find any such books geared to infants and toddlers, and decided to launch a company to publish them. They wrote, tested, and rewrote the first set of books, then teamed up with talented artist Tim Gillette who created the wonderful look. Several dedicated people helped to make the CREST vision a reality. The Baby Bible Board Books logo was designed by Mark Grabow and Stacy Powell of Synchros, Inc. Prepress work was ably performed by Jefferson Dunlap of Rainier Color. Printing services were provided by Colorprint Offset of Hong Kong. Baby Bible Board Books is CREST's first line of books. The first BBBB collection, Stories of Jesus, released April 1st, 2003, garnering rave reviews. Other collections are planned, as well as different books for older children. In addition to the board books, CREST published Your Guide to Marketing Books in the Christian Marketplace in September of 2006. This handy volume has also received excellent reviews, and compiles Sarah Bolme's years of experience in the Christian book trade. CREST Publications is a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association (PMA), and a founding member of the Christian Small Publishers Association (CSPA).
