The predecessor of Crimson Energy Partners III, L.L.C., Crimson Energy Company L.P., was founded in 1998 by President, Frank F. Starr II, and Vice President, Jacob (Tripp) Rivers III, with the objective of building a private, independent oil and gas company focused on core areas in which the principals had significant experience. The focus for growth was predominately in South Texas where the principals have an average of 15 plus years of experience. The original company was built through acquisitions and development drilling to over 160 BCFE of proved reserves.

Russell (Bo) Bollier , Operations Superintendent. Mr. Bollier has over 25 years of experience in management, drilling, completion, and operations. He worked 16 years for Winn Exploration as a foreman and superintendent involved in all phases of the company's field development in South Texas. He also has experience as a foreman for Merit Energy in South Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. Some of his key accomplishments include managing the field operations and drilling for several companies.

Frank F. Starr II , President. He earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Starr has over 25 years of experience in operations, reservoir engineering, acquisitions, and management. His experience includes 17 years with Union Pacific Resources working Texas, California, the Mid-Continent, and the Rockies. Significant accomplishments throughout his career include over $140MM in acquisitions, engineering, and managing several successful drilling programs, and serving as engineering manager for a large steam flood during which operation costs were reduced by 37%.
