Description

Established in 1991 in Evergreen Colorado, Jami Jensen and her partner Cameron Fitch operated a small breeding and training barn in which they bred and trained about 15 horses per year. Soon the reality of the venture outgrew the farm in Evergreen, and a move was made to Larkspur Colorado. As the demand for their horses grew, so did the operation. Crooked Willow Farms has now expanded to include a 90 acre training facility, a 1300+ acre breeding and hay production farm, which includes several hundred acres of irrigated Brome and Orchard grass. Crooked Willow's 60 stall training facility provides their trainers with a wide variety of tools to complete the horses' education. The facility encompasses indoor, large covered, and outdoor riding arenas, a Liberty Exerciser (European designed), extensive trails and turnouts. Crooked Willow horses start and progress their education on a graduated schedule that tailors their development on individual needs and abilities. Every horse can then reach their full potential. The breeding farm at Crooked Willow is equally well appointed with state of the art breeding facilities, 24 by 12 foaling stalls, 24 hour recorded video and audio surveillance, and a fully equipped laboratory. No detail has been overlooked to ensure that mares and foals receive the very best care and attention. Crooked Willow's goal is to produce at least 15 outstanding foals each year...
