Cross, Jenks, Mercer and Maffei has provided quality legal services to clients since 1889. Our offices are located in historic downtown Baraboo, and once housed a wagon shop and dance hall in the early 1900's. The firm began in 1889 as a boutique practice specializing in civil litigation representing insurance companies, banks and local businesses. By the mid 1950’s the firm was lead by Clyde Cross, who enjoyed a statewide reputation for his masterful trial practice skills. His strong legacy continues today in the highly regarded members of the firm.
