In the Boardroom The Firm is assisting Tom L. Ward in connection with a proposed acquisition of approximately 40% of the common stock of Riata Energy, Inc, from Riata's controlling shareholder for $500 million. Mr. Ward, who formerly served as President and Chief Operating Officer and a director of Chesapeake Energy Corporation, will become the largest shareholder of Riata and its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Riata is an Amarillo based exploration and production, gas gathering and processing and drilling company. Mr. Ward expects to relocate the headquarters to Oklahoma City. Leaders in Law Five Crowe & Dunlevy attorneys were recently honored with the Journal Record’s 2006 Leadership in Law award for striving to improve the communities where they live and work. The Firm’s honorees have volunteered countless hours to worthy and important civic endeavors. The five are Jimmy Goodman, William H. Hoch III, D. Kent Meyers, Judy Hamilton Morse and Brooke S.
