Karen has served others all her life. For over 20 years she was a director of Hillel, a campus-based organization providing guidance and fellowship to Jewish students. She also served as Scoutmaster for her sons' Boy Scout troop and is currently the committee chair, helping young men mature into responsible adults – and encouraging them to reach for their dreams. Karen and her husband Todd, a member of the technical staff at JPL/NASA, enjoy spending time with each other and vacationing with their two sons when they are home from college.
