Description

Crystal IS was incorporated and founded in New York State, in March of 1997. The company recently relocated from the RPI Incubator center, to the Green Island Tech Park.With a management team of highly educated, experienced, and innovative scientists, Crystal IS is the creation of co-founders, Dr. Leo Schowalter and Dr. Glen Slack.The company's current focus is on the development of a proprietary technique for growing larger and higher quality AlN crystals. Boules as large as 30mm in diameter have been produced. Crystal IS plans to have 5-centimeter diameter substrates commercially available in 2005.
