CTEC Electronics started out in 1986 as a computer bulletin board system (BBS) known as The Electronic Connection and evolved into a very successful home based computer business. In 1990, The Electronic Connection purchased the rights to PLUS BBS software and began development and distribution of the bulletin board software. PLUS BBS became highly successful and is still in widespread use today. The next 4 years brought rapid expansion for The Electronic Connection and it soon outgrew its home based roots. In June of 1994 The Electronic Connection acquired an electronic repair company and through this acquisition it merged both companies into CTEC Electronics. The entire business was moved from the home based roots and expanded to a full fledged electronic service center taking on computer networking, telephone systems, consumer electronic repair, and CCTV systems in addition to computer repairs and software development...
