C ustom Tree Care, Inc. was started in 1999 as Custom Tree and Lawn by Greg Gathers. A full-time college student and 20 years old at the time, Greg started with nothing more than a pickup, two chainsaws, push mower, and a borrowed trailer. Custom Tree and Lawn offered several services to homeowners including lawn mowing, landscaping, gutter cleaning, snow removal, firewood, fertilization, tree & shrub trimming, and removal. Greg quickly realized he had a strong desire to care for trees and began to focus soley on arboriculture.
