Description
The Center for Wooden Boat's 2010 Auction and Dinner Celebration, "Blue Hawaii," will be held February 13th, 2010 at the Swedish Cultural Center. The evening's events will include live and silent auctions, Elvis impersonators, beverages, and a 5-course dinner by As You Like It Catering. Doors open and silent auction bidding begins at 5 p.m. Now in its 34th year, CWB's Annual Auction & Dinner Celebration is our largest fundraiser. Proceeds from the event will benefit CWB's award-winning hands-on educational programs for kids of all ages. CWB is able to engage over 5,000 youth in on the water activities each year, and through the donations of generous supporters is able to provide most youth classes on a pay-what-you-can basis. Reserve Your Seats Soon Space at Blue Hawaii is limited, so reserve your tickets today! To reserve tickets online, please visit the CWB Store . You may also fill out and return an RSVP form . Individual tickets are $100 for members and $125 for non-members. Or, become a table captain and fill a table of 10 with family and friends for $1,000. Great Gift Idea Reservations for Blue Hawaii also make a perfect gift! You can surprise your sweetie at holiday time with the promise to attend a fun and exciting Valentine’s evening out...and that’s just the beginning! After the fun and laughter (think Elvis impersonation contest), imagine your guest’s surprise when you raise your bid card for that tropical trip for two or the dinner, show and limo package! You can delight your honey AND support CWB, one of Seattle’s treasures. Donate an Item If you'd like to donate to the auction, you can print out a donation form and return it to CWB. You can also email auction@cwb.org with your donation information. All donations must be received by February 4th, 2010, or by January 13th, 2010 for your name to be included in the auction catalog. Support the Auction Your attendance and active bidding are both important ways of supporting The Center for Wooden Boats. There is also another way that you will be able to help CWB achieve its goals - as an auction underwriter! This year's auction will feature a 10% successful buyers' premium which will help cover the costs of the auction so that more of those bids go directly to the important work of CWB. If you have any questions about the auction, please email auction@cwb.org or contact the Development Department at (206) 382-2628. CWB's mission is to provide a gathering place where maritime history comes alive through direct experience and our small craft heritage is enjoyed, preserved, and passed along to future generations.
