Description
Due to the number of CYPRES units in the field (more than 65,000) Airtec via SSK Industries, Inc., is able to offer maintenance/service directly to the customer in an economical manner. In 1992 this service center was established in the US to provide all Skydivers located in the US, Canada, South America and other Western Hemisphere countries, an easy and convenient access to CYPRES products, including service and maintenance. CYPRES needs the factory maintenance 4 years and 8 years after the original date of manufacture (as stated on the serial number label).
The following is a copy of the response from Airtec (the manufacturer of CYPRES) to some questions and comments fielded from the "rec.skydiving newsgroup" on Internet, concerning CYPRES accuracy and "misfire rumors". It is reprinted here to provide additional information for all CYPRES owners and riggers.
