August 1st will usher in major changes to several of the Resource Centers provided by Gale Cengage Learning. The Resource Centers will be replaced by new learning portals from Gale’s In Context family of products. The In Context products will contain all the reliable, authoritative content from the Resource Centers plus a media-rich, Web-like experience for today’s learners, educators and librarians. The DISCUS products to be affected are: Biography Resource Center, History Resource Center, Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center and Science Resource Center. Additional information about the upgrade, including an extensive FAQ list, is available on the Gale site . To introduce the changes, a series of free webinars is planned for August 2, 3, 4 and 5. Conducted by the Gale representative, the webinars will be live events that allow interaction with the instructor so that questions and concerns can be addressed.
