D.R.E.A.M. Alive, Inc. is a public charity committed to improving the quality of life for underserved youth in Indianapolis. D.R.E.A.M. Alive was founded in 2001 by Indianapolis Colts Pro-Bowl offensive tackle Tarik Glenn and his wife Maya. Since its inception, Tarik and Maya have worked to fulfill the vision of D.R.E.A.M. Alive, which is to serve the students of Shortridge Middle School, youth in the Mapleton Fall Creek Area and their families. The mission of D.R.E.A.M. Alive is to provide a safe and dynamic environment in which youth can raise their expectations and self-esteem through: Discipline, Responsibility, Education, Achievement and Motivation. D.R.E.A.M. Alive is committed to organizing and facilitating a variety of programs which target youth and families with high-risk behaviors. D.R.E.A.M. Alive is committed to organizing and facilitating a variety of programs targeting underserved youth in Indianapolis that result in achieving improved skills and knowledge in academics, arts and culture, athletics, health and values. Through proven success, D.R.E.A.M. Alive seeks to be a model that is respected and replicated by others nationwide wishing to serve youth and families in their community.
