Service is critical for Entity Beauty, a small company with a high-end product. So, the start-up company, whose customers are nail salons across the globe, needed a logistics partner ready to respond to the demands of establishing their distribution system. They found one in DSC Logistics. DSC provides service for Entity in packaging, kit building, hazardous shipping, transportation and export paperwork…the works. We provide the quick turnaround on shipping they need because their product, kits containing everything used to create nails, has to be replenished often.

DSC Logistics has selected PINC Solutions to provide greater visibility and improve facility operations at three Logistics Centers in Mira Loma, California. “We continue to explore new options to increase visibility and lower costs throughout our customers’ supply chains, and this also includes activities that take place outside the warehouse that can be overlooked," commented Ken Heller, DSC’s senior vice president of Supply Chain Excellence.

“Damage control.” That term does get bandied about, usually in reference to cleaning up someone’s mess, in a ?gurative sense. But, sometimes, damage literally does have to be controlled, as in the case of a “Fortune 50” company’s problem with transportation-related high case damage rates for domestic shipments. The situation was causing an increase in claims and associated expenses and creating issues with overall product availability to the retail market. Plus, the need for saleable product in good condition had increased due to low cost competition ?ooding markets.

DSC provides solutions for customer, Kimberly-Clark’s, “Network of the Future” DSC was awarded an exciting growth opportunity with current customer Kimberly-Clark, providing logistics management services, including custom kitting, at a new Logistics Center in the Los Angeles, California, area. Kimberly-Clark will be combining two divisions into this location, Consumer and Professional.
