D & W Nameplate Service, Incorporated was established in April of 1958 with an idea of supplying custom identification plates to the petrochemical and electrical fields in Houston, TX. In 1958, the business was started by Robert White in a one car garage on a part-time basis. The business quickly grew so quickly that Robert was unable to manage on a part-time basis, which led to the decision to leave his current employment and focus all of his efforts on his nameplate business.
