We live in the Arbor District and lease historic houses restored to their original condition. We seek to rent to professionals and others who want a quality home. At the present time we have four houses in the Arbor District. These houses are in easy walking distance to Southern Illinois University and Memorial Hospital, as well as City Hall, Carbondale's historic Town Square, a full-service grocery store, banks, and other services. They are zoned R-1, residential (no more than two unrelated adults). We acquire new properties from time to time. We will post announcements here when homes become available. We want good people to join us in sustaining a real neighborhood of walkable streets, children's voices and neighborly support. To that end, we will sell any of the properties to those who want to join with us in the Arbor District. Tenants have the first right of an offer on a property. There are programs at the city and national level to supplement first time buyers as well as conversions from rentals to ownership. On the photos below, click on the link to do a tour of the house.
