DaisyDee Art Studio is owned and operated out of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /> North Carolina . President/Founder Dara Edwards began her career in 1997, painting in her spare time. As her interest and enthusiasm in the hobby developed, she began painting gifts for family and friends. In 2000, Dara chose the name DaisyDee, and opened a brand new company devoted to hand-painted and hand-made crafts. She began selling her items at local craft shows, and by 2005, DaisyDee hosted the "1st annual DaisyDee's Christmas in Sherrills Ford Art and Craft Show." The first show was such a success that the show had to be moved to a larger building in Denver, NC the next year and renamed "DaisyDee's Christmas Art and Craft Show." As business continued to grow, DaisyDee added a spring show "DaisyDee's Festival of Arts and Crafts in 2008" Today, DaisyDee Art Studio offers hand-painted wine glasses , vases , candles , ivy bowls , cake servers , bird baths , handcrafted jewelry and many other items including seasonal and custom items .
