Dakota Community Bank

Description

Dakota Community Bank was originally chartered as Security Bank of Hebron in 1940. Security Bank of Hebron operated under this name with a station in Taylor until January 1, 1983 when a group of Nebraskan investors acquired the Security Bank of Hebron and formed Hebron Banshares, Inc. In 1982, Dale Pahlke moved from Winner, SD to become the President and CEO of the bank. Stan Sayler, a native of Hebron, N.D., joined the bank in 1984 and today serves as the Executive Vice President. Eight years later, Dale Pahlke and Stan Sayler acquired the majority interest in Hebron Banshares, Inc., the remaining stock was acquired by the other directors and employees of the bank. In 1992, 1st State Bank of New Leipzig was acquired and operated under that name until May of 1995 when 1st State Bank established a new banking facility in Dickinson and changed the name of the bank to Dakota Community Bank. Dakota Community Bank established its home office at the Dickinson location and the New Leipzig bank became a branch. In 1997, Hebron Banshares, Inc. was merged into Dakota Community Banshares, Inc. Dakota Community Bank merged with Security Bank of Hebron and made Hebron, ND the corporate headquarters. Dakota Community Bank expanded and opened a branch in Mandan, ND in November of 1997 and a branch in Bismarck, ND in July of 1999. ...
