Upon graduation from school in 1975, and far too energetic a person to sit behind a desk shuffling papers, Dale Bartholomew went of work for a family owned kitchen equipment dealer. His original plans were for this employment stint to be nothing more than a short term occupation before quickly moving on to bigger and better things. However, Dale quickly fell in love with the business, and for the next 13 years, Mr. Bartholomew worked for this company learning the trade and becoming a well known expert in the field of commercial kitchen design and installation in all types of foodservice operations. After 13 years, it was time to move on and start his own company. On April 1, 1990 Daleco was born. Over the past 12 years, the number of customers has steadily grown - from the "mom and pop" restaurants to the large chain fast food operations, Daleco has earned a reputation for Quality, Fairness, Superior Knowledge, Reasonable Pricing, Flexibility, and Speed. Because of the quality craftsmanship put into every job, Mr. Bartholomew has had many requests, and plenty of opportunity, to grow the company. But because of his desire to provide personal attention to every customer, he continues to resist large scale growth, preferring to keep the number of employees under ten. Today Daleco is still a small company with a big reputation. Daleco was recently awarded a contract to install all the kitchen equipment, in all foodservice operation areas, in the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio - the new home of the Cincinnati Reds that will open in the spring of 2003. Dale Bartholomew and his wife Louann have been married for over 19 years and have a daughter Chrissy who just started her first year of college. Together, Dale and Louann operate and manage the company business. Mr. Bartholomew has been a long time active member of Kiwanis International. Kiwanis is a world-wide service organization working through individual community clubs for the benefit of their respective communities with a particular focus on needs of children. In 1991, Mr.Bartholomew's knowledge of construction earned him an appointment to the Anderson Township Development Advisory Committee and he has served as chairman of that committee for the past eight years. The Anderson Township Board of Trustees appointed Mr. Bartholomew to the Anderson Park District Board of Commissioners in 1995. The Board of Park Commissioners creates policy for, and oversees, the operation of one of Ohio's largest and most progressive township park districts. For his long record of unending community service, Mr. Bartholomew was recognized as Citizen of the Year in 1997 by the Anderson Township Chamber of Commerce. Since 1984 the Bartholomew family have been active members of the Mt. Washington Baptist Church. Mr. Bartholomew has served on the board of the church's land holding company holding the office of Vice President for two years and has also served as the past chairman of the holding company's board of trustees.
