Description

Dance Alloy is Pittsburgh's premier modern dance repertory company and school. Housed in their own studio complex in the Neighborhood Dance Center in Friendship, Dance Alloy stages home seasons in the studio theater, the Kelly Strayhorn Theatre and the Byham Theatre, as well as touring nationally and internationally. The School of Dance Alloy offers a variety of movement classes to all ages -- for professionals to the interested novice.Under the new artistic direction of Beth Corning, the company is focusing on dance theatre work, performing works by nationally and internationally recognized and emerging artists.Past repertory has included commissioned and set works by: Pilobus, Bill T. Jones, Tere O'Connor, Victoria Marks, Mark Taylor, Charles Moulton, Douglas Nielson, Elizabeth Streb, Eiko & Koma, Mark Dendy, and Lynn Dally among others.
