The Dance Collection opened its doors to the local dance world of Dover, Delaware in 1986. It was and still is the only full service dance retailer in southern Delaware. The Dance Collection carries over 25 major dancewear manufacturers’ product lines. “Everything Dance – Apparel, Shoes and Accessories” is our motto. The Dance Collection has built a solid reputation as expert dance shoe fitters for dancers of all types and offers students of dance a wide choice of dance shoe styles for ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap. The Dance Collection serves its customers in many ways including maintaining a convenient location, business hours, customer incentive clubs, customer registration, group, company and school discount programs and on-site fitting and sales events at area dance studios. Early in 2003, The Dance Collection will “took it up a notch” by launching online shopping for its customers on the Delmarva Peninsula and elsewhere. The Dance Collection’s improved website showcases local events, dance studios and companies and important information to keep dancers knowledgeable and at their prime. The Dance Collection recognizes that Movement Arts takes many forms including ballet, tap, and jazz dance as well as cheerleading, yoga, tai chi and skating. The Dance Collection carries basic apparel and accessories for all aspects of the Movement Arts.
