The Danielsen Company, Incorporated was started in Chico, California in 1964 as Danielsen Distributing. Jim Danielsen was driving for Sunnyland Juice Company in San Jose. Sunnyland offered him an opportunity to develop a route in Northern California. He and his wife, Janice, moved to Chico with their children. They began to expand their product line and focus on the restaurant and drive-in, frosty businesses. In 1967, the Danielsen’s bought the old Borden's Dairy facility in Chico where they flourished until 1985. A new office and warehouse were built at our present location of 435 Southgate Court in Chico. The Danielsen Company, Incorporated has grown to become one of California’s finest in food service distribution. We remain family owned and operated. We serve Northern and Central California schools, restaurants, institutions and distributors. Our facility houses one of the largest freezers in California (our freezer is about the size of a football field), 40+ employees, 12 trucks, as well as an on site retail store.
