In January 2006, DPYS proudly announced the hiring of Boxborough resident Jonathan Kerr to serve as our Youth Services Director. Jon brings to Danny's Place over 10 years of non-profit administration experience and 20 years of experience working with youth. Prior to joining DPYS, Jon held the position of Assistant Director and Business Manager at Community Rowing, a 501(c)(3) located in Boston Ma. Community Rowing was founded in 1985 as a nonprofit organization and has become one of the largest rowing programs in the United States with over 1,500 people rowing annually.
DPYS stands for Danny’s Place Youth Services. DPYS is a privately funded, non-profit local organization that runs an entertainmnet space for youth, called Danny's Place, and sponsors programs providing direct services to youth.
The Danny's Place Mary Laurion Memorial Scholarhip awarded three senior scholarships of $850 each this June at the High School's 2012 Scholarship Awards Ceremony. The recipients are: Daniel Rossignol, Nicole Rassulo and Laura Duran. These three students excelled at providing years of service to the Youth Center.
