Datatrial was founded in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1999 by an investigator and entrepreneur on the premise that superior customer service and flexibility matter as much in clinical research as in other industries. We’ve always thought that emerging and mid-sized drug and device companies need more personalized services delivered from partners that are nimble enough to adapt to the changes that are a normal process in clinical research. The company added a U.S. office in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2005, and competes with much larger contract research organizations by offering top-notch outsourced data management and by building relationships with clients that mean more than a growth chart.
