We all participate in the association practice. We emphasize the team approach. If one of us is out of the office, another attorney can handle your needs in an efficient and prompt manner. We have developed an approach to the collection of delinquent maintenance assessments and deed restriction enforcement our clients have found to be very successful. We insist that all but the most routine of a homeowner's phone calls be returned by a lawyer or law school graduate, not a paralegal or legal assistant. Our belief is that if the issue is important enough to write a letter about, it is important enough to merit an attorney's attention. We have found that we are much more likely to reach an amicable resolution with the homeowner if he or she deals directly with an attorney as opposed to a paralegal or legal assistant. If you have entrusted your legal work to our firm, we believe that trust mandates that an attorney perform the important work involved. Another aspect of our practice which we think is in your best interests is that we refuse to represent homeowners in disputes against homeowner associations. In our opinion, it is not a good practice to represent homeowners as well as homeowner associations because it results in an unfair use of knowledge learned at one association's expense to the disadvantage of another association.
