Learn how to produce a band portrait from start to finish. During this group workshop, I’ll show you all of the steps involved in making compelling band portraits using small, portable strobes like the Nikon Speedlight. You can apply the skills you learn to any kind of portrait photography. I’ll take you through the entire process including packing up gear, scouting locations, working with subjects, camera settings, lighting, editing, and retouching. We’ll discuss both the technical and creative nature of working with strobe lighting and how it relates to camera settings such as aperture and shutter speed while also meshing seamlessly with available light.
