At Rockingham Eye Associates, a Comprehensive Eye Exam involves a medical evaluation of the visual system and normally requires dilating the pupil in order to see the back of your eye. Dilation drops take 15 to 30 minutes to work. Your vision will remain blurred while your eyes are dilated. We provide reversal drops to reverse the dilation and to allow you to safely operate a motor vehicle after a dilated exam. However, it is always a good idea to make transportation arrangements if you feel you may not be able to see properly to drive.
