This is the largest sports centered park south of Atlanta. It consists of nine soccer fields, five baseball diamonds, and five softball diamonds. This site also includes three large concession facilities, two maintenance centers, four parking lots, several multi-acre mitigation areas and the complete installation of over two miles of 20” reclaimed water and 12” potable water transmission mains from an adjacent water treatment plant right through the heart of the complex.

Nelson Construction has worked with many customers and general contractors to build new or improve existing facilities including but not limited to utilities, sidewalks, landscaping and irrigation parking lots and private roadways.

This project involved constructing improvements to an existing preserve area to provide improved public access while carefully preserving the environmental, archeological and historical attributes of the area. The water supply to the area was redone by installing a little more than two (2) miles of on and offsite water main. The main entry way was redone with a new gate installed. The entry road was reconstructed to be a paved road with drainage. An upland trail was constructed to enable public access to a remote area of the preserve.
