In the labor and employment area, Roy is known for his advocacy on behalf of employers. With over 35 years of experience in the field, he has a broad background of legal knowledge. He also is known for the practical approach he brings to problem solving.

Derek is a member of the firm, focusing his work in the firm’s business and government practice groups. He has extensive experience assisting clients with designing, implementing, and administering Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), pension plans, profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans, self-funded health plans, and cafeteria plans. He also has considerable experience in tax planning for businesses and individuals, as well as negotiating merger and acquisition deals, including transactions involving the use of ESOPs.

Our Business attorneys have extensive transactional experience, counseling management teams in a range of matters from mergers and acquisitions, to real estate, to entity formation and governance. The firm also has considerable experience in the areas of compensation and employee benefits.
