DAWSON is a Native Hawaiian 8(a) small business with more than 17 years of experience providing innovative and cost effective solutions to our clients across the globe.

Scope: DAWSON was contracted to provide for the operations of the Transient Aircraft Alert Services at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. Under this 3-year contract, DAWSON provides 24-hour per day and 365 day per year operations of this mission critical airfield requirement. Services provided include securing incoming transient aircraft and providing maintenance services prior to their next flight mission. In addition to managing the aircraft operations, DAWSON also provides for the part and inventory management along with coordination of upcoming flight plans.

The Hawaiian Native Corporation (HNC) is a non-profit organization founded in February 2004 and controlled entirely by Native Hawaiians. HNC is recognized by the Department of Defense under federal statutory authority as a “Native Hawaiian Organization” (NHO) and is certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

DAWSON contributes office space and administrative infrastructure and resources at no charge to two local Hawaiian small businesses whose missions are benefiting Native Hawaiians. One is a Native Hawaiian Film company focused on bringing awareness and preserving the Native Hawaiian culture through media solutions. The second is a Native Hawaiian small business that specializes in land and cultural awareness issues and often provides their expertise to local and State agencies such as the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources.
