The DayMakers Story By Billy Norris If you can take a few minutes to read the DayMakers story, you will understand that providing excellent and personal service with a good listener’s attention to detail really is the bedrock of our company culture. It isn’t just a slogan that we will “make your day”. DayMakers’ roots go back to 1979. The economy was tough and I lost my job. I embarked on a path toward self-employment.

Our warranty is limited, fair, and personal, the same as it was in 1981 at the Santa Barbara Arts & Crafts Show, when owner Billy Norris began making leather goods "while you wait" with a foot-treadle sewing machine. "Your satisfaction for however long you think is fair" was his original guarantee and it has since remained unchanged. It would be easier now to simply provide a one-year warranty, which is generally accepted as fair. However, such a policy does not cover products that are rarely used. Many products are owned for years, but only receive a few weeks of use.

We want to provide lasting value, a process that extends well beyond the moment of your purchase. If you do not get the value you expect from your DayMakers product, then our job is not complete.

Billy Norris – Owner/Designer My name is Billy Norris. I have been known as Bill and William, and I consider “hey you” to be a friendly hail. I am the owner and “founder” though I consider myself more as a bearer or bringer or custodian of this nook of reality. I have been paying attention to leather, thread, zippers, fasteners and especially to what people want that are made out of these things, for over thirty years. I operated a foot-treadle sewing machine at the Santa Barbara Arts & Crafts Show for 16 years.

We always try to do what is fair. If your product is unused and in new condition, you may return it at any time for any reason and we will either refund your money if purchased from us, or give you “store” credit if purchased from another retailer. Authorization is not required. If your product didn’t last as long as you would have liked, give us a call and we will work with you to reach a fair solution. See our warranty for more details.
