DayTripper Tours was founded under the name Hollywood Connection in 1987 as a small tour company offering day excursions to the Price is Right TV Show and other Hollywood game show tapings. In 1989 the company name was changed to DayTripper Tours as its operations were expanded to include a myriad of other destinations throughout the Southwest and Mexico. DayTripper Tours has grown to become the largest tour operator of its kind in San Diego County and each year offers hundreds of day trips and multiple-day excursions.
