In 1999 ISD decided to invest time, money and energy into technology for ISD staff and students. To begin the process, we developed 12 point vision statements which is shown below. You will also find "current status" for each vision to find out where we are with our goals. VISION 1: All staff and students (pre school through 12th grade) will have their own accounts and passwords to access our new ISDNet. Anyone will be able to use any computer on the campus, sign in with your account and password, and be able to see your files. Your files "travel" with you wherever you are. Students can create and preserve their coursework throughout grades. CURRENT STATUS: Completed! Over 325 network accounts have been created for every single ISD staff. During the implementation, we decided that students will not receive their own accounts for several reasons. All teachers received "dual" accounts: personal and classroom accounts. VISION 2: All staff and students (pre school through 12th grade) will have their own Email accounts. Everyone can communicate with anyone anytime. Parents can keep in touch with their children in our dorms. Students can question teachers or vice versa. CURRENT STATUS: Completed! All staff have their own email accounts. On request by certain teachers, for certain class projects, some students also receive their own email accounts. For the rest of our students, they use whatever Internet-based email providers they choose (Yahoo, MSN, AOL, etc.) as their email...
