Defiance College

Description

Defiance College, chartered in 1850, is an independent, coeducational, liberal arts institution and has a student population of nearly 1100. Defiance is a college where students learn to lead and serve in a democracy; learn to understand, appreciate, and have the skills to interact with other cultures; and learn to not only receive knowledge but to make their own knowledge by engaging in interactive experiences. Our Vision creates an educational experience of engagement in civic, cultural, and learning dimensions.

We are particularly proud of the great work that our students have done in running Project 701, a unique student-run, separately-legally-incorporated non-profit, in which DC students create, develop, run and manage service projects.
