The Deicke Center for Visual Rehabilitation is an Illinois, not-for-profit whose mission is: “To provide the visually impaired with the tools and training necessary to maximize their vision and function independently at home, at school, at work, and within the community at large.”The Deicke Center has helped more than 10,000 people of all ages maximize sight and learn to cope with the challenges of living with vision loss.Founded in 1986 by Ophthalmologist, P.K. Gieser, M.D., along with his friend Edwin Deicke our first major benefactor, the Deicke Center has brought hope and independence to over 10,000 persons of all ages struggling with vision loss.
