On July 1, 2009 the state of Arkansas began an economic incentive program intended to foster growth in the state's production industry. Many states offer film incentives - however, Arkansas' program is among the most inclusive. Most projects intended for "distribution or exhibition to the general public" are eligible. Arkansas' program also boasts the lowest qualifying budget requirement in the country. Here are a few details: - Rebate = 15% of the TOTAL production & post budget (excluding non-AR residents within budget and out-of-state rentals). - Projects with budgets starting at $ 50k and higher can qualify. - Do NOT have to shoot entirely in Arkansas. So long as "at least 75% of subsequent film or digital content is produced in Arkansas". -Production company (Dempsey) handles accounting procedures with the state. You simply relax and let us handle it. -The rebate check will be cut within approximately 100 days of filing all paperwork with the state after project is complete & invoices cleared.
